Haryana to pay farmers for Moong dal, potato Buoyed with the success of purchase of Bajra through the e-procurementsystem at Minimum Support Price (MSP) of Rs 1950 per quintal and payment to farmers directly into their bank accounts, the Haryanachief minister, Manohar Lal has accorded his approval for using the same system for the procurement of moong and potato. 

While the procurement of moong would commence next month, the procurement of potato would start in the month of February. An official spokesman said that about 1.51 lakh Metric Tons of Bajra has so far been procured by the procurement agencies in the State at MSP of Rs 1950 per quintal. 

He said that Hafed would purchase 25 per cent of the produce of moong under Price Support Scheme (PSS) in the State for which Minimum Support Price (MSP) has been fixed at Rs 6900 per quintal. In order to ensure that actual farmers gets MSP and there is no trading of moong, the payment would be made to farmers directly in their bank accounts. 

He said that for this, all the moong growing farmers have been asked to register themselves on Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal, the e-Kharid portal. The Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department has been asked to complete the registration process of farmers within a period two days, he added. 

The spokesman said that Hafed would engage the services of Saksham Yuva in this work. They would be stationed in the mandis at the time of bidding alongside the arthiyas and procurement agencies. They would automatically generate Form J on the spot by filling up the purchase details, bid price, estimated weight and would also ensure 75 per cent payment of the purchased moong through automatically generated I Forms on the sport directly into the accounts of farmers. 

The balance payment would be made after measurement by procurement agencies, he further added.
