SOYBEAN PROCESSORS GET TRAINING AT PAU

LUDHIANA, JULY 12:

A state level training camp for PAU Soybean Processors Association (PSPA) was held at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) today.  A total of 32 members of the association participated in the camp, held under the guidance of Dr Ashok Kumar, Director of Extension Education.

            Mr S.S. Garcha, President, PSPA, exhorted the members to seek technical guidance regarding soybean processing from PAU experts.

            A farm economist, Dr M.S. Sidhu dwelt on the prospects and problems in marketing of soybean products while   Ms Nisha, an expert from  School of Business Studies, highlighted the impact of GST (Goods and Services Tax) on soy products.

            Dr T.S. Riar, Coordinator, PSPA, welcomed the resource persons and the members of the association. He observed the cooperative system in marketing is highly profitable.
