PUNJAB AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITYPAU ORGANIZES TRAINING COURSE ON MILK AND SOY TECHNOLOGYLUDHIANA, JUNE 19:The Department of Food Science and Technology, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU),  organized a training course on ‘Milk and Soy Technology’ under the aegis of Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojna (RKVY) project. As many as 20 participants attended the course.      Dr Poonam A. Sachdev, Head, Food Science and Technology, welcomed the trainees and acquainted them with the departmental facilities.      Dr (Mrs) Usha Bajwa, Course Coordinator, informed the trainees about the technology of preservation of milk at household level. She also delivered a lecture on the health benefits of soy and its products.      Dr Bajwa, an expert, delivered a talk on preparation of frozen dairy products and gave practical demonstration on preparation of ice-cream and kulfi.    Another expert, Dr Jaspreet Kaur demonstrated the preparation of flavoured milk, dahi, lassi and paneer. She also spoke on the technology of soy milk and other soy products.
