Dr Mahinder Singh Randhawa Memorial Lecture At Pau

The ‘Dr Mohinder Singh Randhawa Memorial Lecture’, organized by Young Writers Association, PAU and Punjabi Sahitya Academy will be held on February 23, 2017 at 3p.m. at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Auditorium, Student Home, PAU. Padam Shree, Dr Surjeet Patar will grace the occasion as Chief Guest, while, PAU Vice Chancellor, Dr B.S. Dhillon will preside over the event.  Dr Nahar Singh, Professor and former Dean, Languages, Punjab University, Chandigarh will be the guest speaker of the day and will shed light on the life and achievements of Dr Randhawa. Dr Nahar Singh will later address the student members of the Young Writers Association. The programme has been organized by Dr R.K. Dhaliwal, Director Students Welfare, PAU, Dr Sukhdev Singh, President, Punjabi Sahitya Academy, Ludhiana and Dr Surjit Singh, General Secretary, Punjabi Sahitya Academy, whereas, Dr Davinder Dilroop, President, Young Writers Association is the event convener. Books on Punjabi Poetry, ‘Jazbeyaan Da Vahen’ by Dr Pushpinder Singh Rita (Professor and Head, Dept of Plant Pathology, PAU) and ‘Nikkey Nikkey Paer’ by Devinder Dilroop will also be released during the function. Renowned personalities from the Punjabi cultural arena are expected to take part in the programme. The DSW, Dr R.K. Dhaliwal, has invited all students and litterateurs to attend the memorial lecture.
