Dg Icar Visits Kvk Namsai On 16Th February 2019, Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh

Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR) visited KVK Namsai today. He was accompanied by Dr A. Arunachalam, Principal Scientist & Assistant Director General (IR).

During his visit, DG reviewed the various ongoing activities of KVK and also visited the instructional farm, Soil testing Lab Animal Health clinic, demonstration units and Skill development facilities created by the KVK.

During interaction with the Scientists, Dr Mohapatra urged to develop farmer’s friendly techniques and focus on farmers’ centric research. He also emphasized for soil mapping of Namsai district, farmer’s digital card and dissemination of agriculture technologies on farmers’ mobile by utilization the information communication technologies efficiently.

Dr A. Arunachalam urged to establish the Agroforestry block and bio fencing or green fencing farmers’ field.

Earlier, Dr H. Kalita, Joint Director, ICAR RC NEH Region, AP Centre, Basar gave an overview of mandate, achievements and vision of the KVK.
