The crop loans taken by the farmers in the 27 drought-affected mandals in Nellore district are expected to be rescheduled soon to sanction new loans for the coming season.
Towards this objective, the agricultural department officials have submitted reports for loan rescheduling in the needy areas. The bank officials concerned were asked to extend the benefits accordingly to the affected farmers.
In the mandals not entered in the drought list, the officials have decided to begin sanctioning fresh crop loans.
Meanwhile, considering the ongoing drive to promote cashless transactions across the district, the officials have instructed all the 600 fertilizer and pesticide shop dealers to begin transactions using swiping machines soon.
