The 119th Batch of the Certificate Course on Soil and Water Conservation and Watershed Management was inaugurated at ICAR-IISWC, Dehradun on 9th October, 2018. There are total 25 Officer Trainees from 5 different states with 4 female officer trainees participating in this Four Month Training Program. There are 11 Officer Trainees from Punjab, 6 from Jammu and Kashmir, 5 from Uttarakhand, 2 from Arunachal Pradesh and 1 from Madhya Pradesh. Dr. P. R. Ojasvi, Director, ICAR-IISWC, Dehradun addressed the trainees on this occasion. In his address, he urged the Officer Trainees to participate whole heartedly in this program and make it a successful learning process. Dr. Bankey Bihari, Head, HRD&SS Division also addressed the trainees and highlighted the importance of soil and water conservation in the field of natural resource management. The Officer Trainees were also oriented about the Four Month Course and the different rules and regulations in brief and about the different activities during the training program. Dr. N. K. Sharma, Head, SS&A Division, Dr. Harsh Meheta, Head Plant Science Division, Dr. Ambrish Kumar, Faculty Leader Engineering, Dr. Lekh Chand, Faculty Leader Agronomy, Dr. Indu Rawat, Scientist (SS) Family Resource Management were also present on this occasion. Sh. K. R. Joshi, Sh. S. N. Gupta, Sh. Dinesh Chand, Sh. Gajendar Pal and other staff member of HRD&SS helped in the successful organization of the function.
