The PAU Unit of the Atam Pargas Social Welfare Council adopted Ashok Kumar, a second year student of the College of Agriculture, to support his studies. Atam Pargas Social Welfare Council paid his semester fee in the university. Dr Nachhattar Singh, Director, Atam Pargas and Ex-Vice Chancellor, Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo; Dr Surinder Singh Kukal, Dean, College of Agriculture, PAU and Dr R.K. The student members of the PAU unit of Atam Pargas Social Welfare Council brought it to the notice of the Atam Pargas that Ashok Kumar belongs to a very poor family of Rajasthan and is unable to pay his semester fee.

“The student was found to be a hard worker but academically poor and required academic and moral support to complete his studies,” said Dr Nachhattar Singh. He lauded Atam Pargas Team for successfully inspiring the PAU students to inculcate the sense of responsibility.

Dr Dhaliwal, Director Students’ Welfare, appreciated Atam Pargas Social Welfare Council for noble initiative.

Dr Varinderpal Singh, Senior Soil Chemist and teacher in-charge of the PAU Unit of Atam Pargas, inspired PAU students to volunteer for the help to Ashok Kumar.

Mehtab Singh and Mohkam Singh, students of Agriculture College, donated their scholarship amount for support to Ashok Kumar and owned the responsibility to help him improve his studies. Gurkirat Singh also volunteered to inspire other students of the PAU to contribute for the noble cause.
