The Organic Farming team will be organising a training in the preparation of bio-enzyme cleaners through WhatsApp.

Addressing presspersons here on Tuesday, Mahesh, Head of the Organic Farming team, said that garbage disposal was now a major challenge to all the citizens. The use of chemical-based toilet cleaners, phenyl, cleaning powder, and bleaching powder could affect the health of people and also the environment. This was because they contained some chemicals and acids.

Instead of using such chemical cleaners, people could process peels of fruits and create eco-friendly cleaners.

Hence, the Organic Farming team has organised a 10-day training programme in the preparation of bio-enzymes through WhatsApp.

It has created a separate WhatsApp group for this purpose and a resource-person, Vijayashanthi from Bengaluru, will train the participants in making bio-enzyme cleaners during this period. If the participants have any doubts, they can get it cleared through WhatsApp. After the completion of the training, the WhatsApp group will be dissolved.

When the Organic Farming Team met Minister of State for Fisheries, Youth Services, and Sports Pramod Madhwaraj and explained to him about the training programme he appreciated it and also expressed his desire to join the group.

Shobha Karandlaje, MP, Priyanka Mary Francis, Deputy Commissioner, and G. Anuradha, Additional Deputy Commissioner, too had expressed similar sentiments.

As many as 256 persons can register their names for the WhatsApp group by calling Ph: 9880886898, Mr. Mahesh said.
